We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join the XPO team at the Saint-Gobain Gotham Logistics Hub on a full-time, permanent basis. This position plays a crucial role in driving Saint-Gobain’s operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives while providing essential support to project management activities.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.  Responsibilities:

 

  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Analyse current workflows and identify areas for improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Conduct process mapping exercises to visualise current workflows and identify inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans across the various sites, ensuring measurable results and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate in the development and testing of system upgrades and new system implementations.
  1. Project Management Support:
  • Assist and support the Network Development Team in planning, organising, and executing various logistics projects to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate project activities, including resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or obstacles, proactively addressing them to ensure successful outcomes.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect and analyse data related to operational performance, project metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive alignment and achieve project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong administration skills are highly desirable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in project management or project coordination roles, preferably within the logistics or construction industry.
