What you'll do on a typical day:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the effective resolution of desktop, laptop, and IT-related concerns for internal users in India locations
• Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and procure desktop hardware, software, and peripherals as needed.
• Manage and supervise the tracking and administration of IT assets, encompassing laptops, desktops, and associated peripherals.
• Implement and maintain policies for hardware and software usage.
• Take the lead in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members for infrastructure roles in India.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management for the India-based teams.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the infrastructure team.
• Develop and maintain processes for providing remote support to employees working in various locations.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to incorporate leading practices in desktop support
• Work closely with other IT teams, such as network, security, and infrastructure, to address cross-functional IT issues.
• Participate in IT projects that impact desktop support services.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
• Communicate and educate employees on IT policies to promote compliance.
• Provide thought leadership in supporting India locations and building offshore-based support models
• Independently work with teams across India, North America and Romania to define supportable processes

What you need to suceed at XPO:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in a desktop support role with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
• Proven experience in infrastructure management with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications for desktop support, site support, multi-discipline IT Operations or ITIL are a plus.
