HR Employee Relations Specialist

Are you a strong character with experience in employee relations? Are you a team player who is confident and self-motivated? At our ASOS site in Barnsley, we are looking for an experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to join us in a busy 24/7 e-commerce operation.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll be working Mon-Fri, 8:30 – 17:00, on a full-time, permanent basis.


What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Give expert advice on complex Long-Term Sickness and Capability cases
  • Take an active role in complex Disciplinary or Grievance cases
  • Pro-actively review ER trends, identifying solutions that will continuously improve the management of ER challenges across the business
  • Undertake project work, such as developing and delivering in-house training for the HR Team in relation to Employment Law


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Proven experience within an ER specialist role, or HR operational experience with proven employee relations experience
  • Experience of managing high risk ER cases to conclusion
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and work under pressure
  • CIPD Qualification would be desirable
