HR & Payroll Advisor

GXO are currently recruiting for a HR & Payroll Advisor at our ASOS site in Barnsley. This is a full time, permanent role working Monday - Friday, 10:30 - 19:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Deliver an accurate, efficient and compliant end to end payroll as well as a first-class HR experience for our colleagues
  • Provide a timely, effective and comprehensive support to line managers within GXO Supply Chain, in all aspects of Human Resources
  • Help to the immediate and long-term needs of the site and to develop and deliver the HR Strategy in line with the agreed HR Strategy for the Business Unit and where appropriate the GXO Group
  • Develop the correct behaviours and culture within area of responsibility according to the GXO values.  To continue to promote the quality and value of the HR function both within and outside of GXO



What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar capacity and a generalist background. Must have experience of multi-site operations and a good commercial focus
  • Excellent knowledge of HR Policy, Practice, Employee Relations and Change Management approaches, as well as employment law
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office and HR database
  • Experience in running Payroll reporting and collating data for Payroll to be delivered on time, and accurately first time
