Finance Manager FTC Maternity Cover

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Finance Manager on a FTC, maternity cover basis to join our site in Bradford for our flagship customer, M&S. 


You’ll be the Financial lead responsible for the management accounts and all financial work streams across the campus in addition to supporting the leadership team to deliver customer service excellence.


The working week is Monday to Friday, 8 till 4 but there is some flexibility available.


Pay, benefits and more:


We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £60,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Production of both financial and operational management reporting as required for the site, business and customer.  To include P&L statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring all accruals and prepayments are justified and are in line with the Accounting Standards

  • Preparation of data to be presented to the business and customer as required and attendance and presentation as required at site, business and customer meetings e.g. QBR

  • Involvement in preparation of Forecast and Budgets, ad hoc variance analysis and integrity of Invoicing and P&L entries. Assisting central finance in monitoring any debt relating to the site

  • Control and administration of the Purchase Order system and preparation and evaluation of capex & LTC proposals

  • Support the leadership team in driving operational excellence, challenging the status quo and using initiative and judgement, which will result in maximum benefit to the business and customer


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Fully CIMA/ ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Experience of working closely with Senior Managers, Internal and External Stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook and string presentation skills

  • Influencing skills and proven results delivery track record, experience of leading a team

  • Proven experience in a similar finance management role, from a 3PL environment would be a big tick for us
