HR Advisor

Are you a HR Advisor who likes the idea of playing a key part in a high-profile operation for one of the biggest names in the logistics game?

We’re looking for a full-time, permanent HR Advisor to join us at our Waitrose site in Leyland. Working office hours, Monday to Friday (always a bonus in logistics!), you’ll become the natural point of contact for our large operational and managerial workforce, supporting with a variety of HR tasks.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide advice and support to line managers
  • To provide HR advice and support to individual employees as appropriate, holding HR Surgeries.
  • Walking the floor to ensure there is a presence from HR and the team are seen as operationally facing.
  • To support the agreed people development strategy which delivers business objectives. E.g. employing manager training modules and other training initiatives.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • CIPD qualified or studying towards
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar capacity and a generalist background. Must have a good commercial focus.
  • Good knowledge of Employment Law, good use of Microsoft Office and HR database. Excellent knowledge of HR Policy, Practice, Employee Relations and Change Management approaches
  • Ability to build long term client relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and own initiative
