Operations Support Manager

We are looking for an Operations Support Manager to join our site at Thames Gateway. The shift time is to be defined but the successful candidate will need to be flexible and work across shifts as required. The role will have the responsibility for ensuring smooth running of all Fleet and administration operations for the site.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000.00 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Ensure operational service levels are met and continuous KPI improvement is achieved

  • Effective driver management and Working within the financial constraints of the depots budget

  • Review activity and resource in line with the transport plan, ensuring that this information is fed back into the planning function

  • Delivers effective people management for colleagues through feedback and monitoring


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Substantial Experience of Operational distribution management at shift manager level.

  • Proven Experience in Transport essential (Warehouse & stock management an advantage)

  • Experience of people development, communication and team skills

  • International CPC a distinct advantage (or ability to gain through training)
