Head of Inventory

We have been awarded a new contract in Northampton within our eCommerce business unit with one of the hottest apparel retailers in the UK and oversees, and we are looking for a Head of Inventory who can come in and deliver stock strategy projects within a fast-moving, start-up environment.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • With responsibility for the day to day management of the inventory function, you’ll manage and maintain an active SKU base across the fulfillment centre and support sites
  • You’ll be maintaining stock accuracy and integrity in line with contractual requirements, minimising stock loss through investigation and resolution of errors
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the budgeting process by providing information and recommendations for savings or improvements
  • Review forecasts and ensure appropriate staffing and equipment levels are maintained

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous inventory management experience, preferably within an eCommerce environment
  • Experience of delivering Stock Strategy projects within a fast-moving environment, along with in-depth knowledge of inventory processes and stock management
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, access, and Red Prairie
  • Experience of working to set time-scales and deadlines whilst maintaining a professional and courteous manner
