L&D Manager

We have electrifying news; we’ve won a new contract with Dixons Carphone Group. We know this new contract holds the ‘keys’ to happiness, in ‘fax’ we are sure! There really is no ‘phoney’ business with this role, and we will make sure you are given enough ‘screen’ time to show off your success.

 

You’ll join us as an L&D Manager on a full time, permanent basis in Nottingham working Monday to Friday. Although you will predominately be based in Nottingham, we may need you to travel to some of the out bases from time to time.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Implement innovative, modern ways of developing individuals within their current roles, while actively contributing to the succession planning and talent management on site
  • Day to day management of the training team, ensuing operational requirements are met in an efficient manner
  • Responsible for the development of trainers, ensuring that their skills and time are used effectively, ensuring the right structure is in place to develop the trainers into potential Team leaders
  • Coaching and mentoring support for all levels of the business, including providing an academy of FLM training with modules leading to a pathway for career progressing and banding reviews

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in managing a training team and delivering training on a large scale at operative level
  • Exposure to talent management and succession planning, as well as managing recruitment and induction activities
  • Experience of designing and delivering robust projects and task plans, plus monitoring and evaluating the results
  • Excellent communicator across several boundaries, with the ability to build long term client relationships
