Inventory Manager

Logistics done differently.

 

We are counting on you for this one as, we really don’t want to be the laughing stock! Come and join us as an Inventory Team Manager at our Park Royal site, we want someone that can come in and really make it count. You’ll join us on a full time (flexible working hours), permanent basis working Monday to Friday - a real bonus in logistics - however, we do ask for you to have a flexible approach.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Reporting to the Inventory Manager this role has direct line leadership of two shift team leaders, with wider team responsibility for x10 stock controllers and x5 cycle counters.  You will lead the team in the day to day management of the inventory function.
  • The team cover from 06:00 to 22:00 so flexibility is a given to provide support as required
  • You’ll be maintaining stock accuracy and integrity in line with contractual requirements, minimising stock loss through investigation and resolution of errors
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving inventory reports on stock KPI’s, including pick accuracy and over picking always thinking about continuous improvement
  • Maintain both internal and external lines of communications - we only aim to offer the very best here

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous inventory and management experience preferably from a fast paced retail or e-commerce background
  • Experience of leading a small team
  • Experience using warehouse management system
  • High level of IT skills is a must for this role- you and Excel will soon become best friends at Park Royal – WMS / reporting / analysing are a key part of the role
