Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking to get your teeth into a large XPO site?

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the site, making sure you are consistently delivering KPIs as outlined in the contract. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities to minimise business cost through effective P&L management.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Be responsible for adherence to all compliance and legal requirements
  • Effectively execute the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site
  • Discuss non-conformance with the team whilst introducing corrective measures
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the Transport Supervisor and Transport Clerks to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication between them to address delivery issues effectively and in a timely manner.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • A background in corrective coaching – this is key to the success of the role
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment – the operation will be similar at site
  • Experience supervising and developing a team in a complex transport environment
  • Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance whilst minimising costs
  • Relevant CPC
