Our fast-moving e-commerce operation for ASOS in Barnsley is currently looking to bring in an industrial engineer to optimise and review operations on site. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm with the ability to flex if a study requires it.

We’re offering a salary of £35,000 per annum and in addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.


What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Undertake timing studies using Tectime on various site activities to determine standard time values as well as KPI’s where appropriate
  • Provide detailed analysis of site activities in order to highlight opportunities for improvement and any areas of concern
  • Writing reports and explaining findings to colleagues at all levels within the business
  • Provide specialist support to the site projects & CI teams to deliver improvement initiatives across the site


What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Solid experience of conducting timing studies in a fast-moving manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments
  • Analytical skills and the ability to present and communicate findings to all levels on site.
  • Tectime utilisation and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Customer focused, operationally astute and experienced in achieving objectives and operating to high standards
