We are recruiting for a permanent, full time Contract Manager to lead our site in Denby on behalf of S C Johnson. You will have overall responsibility for managing the site to ensure effective management of the budget, efficiency and service standards of the total distribution and warehouse operation.  You will have direct management of two Operational Managers, with a workforce of c.100 staff overall, dependent on seasonal activity.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £60,000 per annum plus car allowance of £450pcm. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.


What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • You will manage all aspects of performance to ensure compliance within agreed KPI’s. and ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations, people, H & S, associated systems and legislation
  • You will play a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce and supporting and developing your team through leading, coaching, and communicating
  • Focus on business excellence, account development and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and customer service standards – developing an exceptional relationship with our customer
  • Develop, input and support plans for the delivery of the operational solution. Develop and maintain customer relationships in line with a partnership approach 
  • You’ll work in conjunction with the business development team and other available resources to create value service propositions for new business opportunities 


What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • A proven and resilient leader, you will need to demonstrate a record of accomplishment in complex site operations
  • Excellent financial acumen and commercial awareness
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation and associated regulations
  • Strong communicator with experience of strong customer presence
  • Strong systems knowledge including WMS, Microsoft Office applications and Project Management
