XPO is looking for a Shift Manager to join one of our key reverse operations in Hinckley, Leicestershire on a full-time, permanent basis. The site itself is a fast-paced reverse operation with a major food retailer, handling all the returned product and equipment from their stores – the volumes can vary from hour to hour! The successful candidate will be working on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating days and nights.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Be responsible for overseeing the running of the day-to-day shifts within a tray wash environment
  • Directly manage Team Leaders, Clerks and Operatives
  • Develop and embed a health and safety culture on site in line with the company’s policies.
  • Ensure performance management mechanisms are utilised, focusing on driving continuous improvement initiatives

 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

 

  • You will be an experienced Shift Manager with a proven track record in a logistics environment, having managed large teams (providing guidance, coaching, creating development plans)
  • You will ideally have a continuous improvement background, as the role will involve working on projects and looking to make the operation even more efficient
