Here at XPO Logistics, we’re recruiting for an HR Manager on a full-time, permanent basis to join our Iceland distribution centre in Swindon.  This is a fantastic, rarely available, opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead on all HR initiatives on site. You’ll build strong relationships throughout your network and on-site in order to take the HR team from strength to strength. We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Build and drive the site HR People plan to support our overall business plan and develop our employee relations agenda
  • Pro-active development of line management capability through formal training, coaching and guidance on all HR related activities
  • Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees to ensure current knowledge of employee legislation
  • Facilitating harmonious employee relations with the site teams and respective Trade Union representatives to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation

 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

 

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR Management role with exposure to dealing with trade unions
  • A proven track record in change management
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching and motivational skills
  • Be organised and detail conscious
