Attention experienced HR Managers - your desk is all set out and ready for you at our rather large yet well-established distribution centre in Tamworth. This is a large operation, so you can guarantee high exposure to various elements of HR to get stuck into. You’ll be an integral part of the leadership team at the site, working closely with the General Manager.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Build and drive the site HR people plan to support the overall business objectives whilst developing the employee relations agenda
  • Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees ensuring a current knowledge of employee legislation and employee relations issues is maintained to ensure the business area remains compliant and risk is mitigated
  • Facilitate harmonious employee relations with the site teams to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation and ensure company standards and policies are implemented on a consistent basis
  • Gather and analyse monthly management information such as labour turnover, headcount and absence statistics and using it to provide insight and support key business decisions

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • CIPD qualification
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships at all levels
  • Proven track record in change management and cultural development
  • Previous experience of working in a unionised environment
