What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Build and periodically update HR System security policies and procedures to ensure they accurately reflect organization standards
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. ITSS, Internal Audit) to direct compliance issues through appropriate channels for research and resolution
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general administer processes to direction on how to avoid or take care of similar situations in the future
  • Conduct periodic enterprise-wide audits of systems using HR data
  • Implement changes to meet internal or external audit requirements or address findings as a result of internal system audits
  • Perform internal department audits to maintain compliance with policies, procedures and SOX standards
  • Keep tabs on industry regulatory environment and changes
  • Ensure execution of all audit plan documentation and tasks with the appropriate level of consistency and governance
  • Review required audit narratives on an ongoing basis

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business, Management, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10 years of relevant strategic and tactical HR and/or HR Systems experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master's degree
  • PMP or SHRM-CP Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to build complex formulas in Excel, and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools
  • Several years of compliance experience in large, complex organizations
