As the Strategic Sales Analyst – Solutions Design at XPO Logistics, you will create and maintain collateral specific to the Managed Transportation sales initiatives. You will also be responsible for managing the development, maintenance and production of client proposals, sales support materials and other projects. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support internal presentations to leadership about sales and industry trends and initiatives
  • Create customer presentation packages, including presales customer profiling
  • Develop, write, edit and submit business development proposals for complex business-to-business services
  • Review customer Requests For Information (RFIs) and Requests For Proposals (RFPs), interpret requirements and coordinate response requirements; participate in the internal storyboarding process
  • Edit content for clarity to ensure a concise value proposition and consistency in our solution; perform a technical edit to ensure a standard look and feel of the final production (brand voice, format, etc.)
  • Update web and marketing materials, monthly newsletter, and PowerPoint presentations for sales presentations
  • Create PowerPoint slides and edit/format existing PowerPoint slides as needed 
  • Support proposal writers in customizing graphics and material for customer proposals
  • Research industry and competitor trends to create competitor profiles and case studies

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or Transportation Management, or a related field
  • 3 years of logistics or transportation experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Salesforce

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Business development/sales support experience
  • Experience developing presentations for senior management, preferably at the C level
  • Experience with Adobe products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve issues
