What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Build XPO’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and coordinating strategic IT solutions; complete projects by facilitating resources and timetables within IT and across other departments
  • Manage projects through the application of generally accepted project management principles and the XPO project management methodology based in PMI disciplines
  • Deliver IT projects and integrations using the XPO Project Life Cycle; coordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development and business onboarding projects
  • Verify results by conducting system audits of implemented technologies
  • Recommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline
  • PMP certification
  • 5 years of experience as an IT project manager concurrently leading multiple projects
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Project

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Jira
  • Proven experience in agile and scrum environments
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to create and handle budgets, plan resources and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate well with peers and business users
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and time demands with a sense of urgency, personal integrity, energy and stamina
