You’ll work with user specifications or high-level requirements to suit the needs of the requesters in order to solve business problems and deliver technical solutions. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Develop software and create documentation as needed
  • Conduct testing and work with assigned QA staff and/or client project managers to coordinate/assist with user testing procedures
  • Coordinate or perform installation of software systems as needed
  • Work with on-site or internal project managers or analysts to review problems, define and test solutions, and develop reports for user management 
  • Assist with the development of technical and documentation standards
  • Analyze current programs, including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs; design solutions for problematic programming
  • Provide assistance to testers and support personnel to determine system problems and identify affected functionalities that require testing
  • Identify and perform various software-related maintenance tasks

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with other technical and nontechnical personnel
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within this field
