What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage collection team and ensure collection metrics are being met; handle all aspects of supervisory responsibilities for the team including development, interviewing/hiring, performance appraisals, complaint resolution, and rewarding and discipling employees
  • Review accounts receivable aging daily and provide collection plan for past-due balances
  • Produce daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting for upper management
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure credit and payments on account meet requirements
  • Work with the sales group to provide visibility into collection activities and have routine meetings to provide updates on department collection efforts
  • Perform collection calls and follow up with customers as needed; handle dispute resolution with customers
  • Work to ensure bad debt is minimized and DSO is maintained to company standards
  • Liaison with outside collection agencies for the collection of bad debt write-off’s

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • 2 years of management experience in a collections environment
  • Proficiency with Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and Word
