As the Manager, Compensation for our North America Transportation (NAT) business, you’ll play a key role in shaping our compensation program by developing and delivering strategic compensation solutions to the business. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the design and administration of compensation programs for the NAT business, in line with the corporate global principles and structures, including base pay management, incentive and other variable comp plans
  • Manage the NAT annual incentive plan review process including reviewing all 40+ incentives plans with division presidents, finance leads and HR leads and provide recommendations to further improve pay for performance methodology within each plan
  • Evaluate competitive practices, assess the business’ position to market and make recommendations to ensure that these plans are cost competitive and support the company’s mission, values and business objectives
  • Partner with HR Generalists to ensure employees understand salary administration and incentive and equity programs (through training programs and regular communications); develop specific communication plans that supplement those provided from the corporate office
  • Manage implementation of the annual total compensation process in close coordination with functional leaders, divisional HR teams and managers
  • Collaborate with business leaders and industry experts to determine industry leading sales, operations and brokerage pay practices and implement relevant best practices
  • Develop and deliver manager and employee training on various compensation projects
  • Manage the enhancement and development of systems and tools to support the annual total compensation planning process and execution
  • Provide regular support to corporate for bonus accrual forecasting, process documentation and job mapping initiatives

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of industry experience managing compensation programs
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint with advanced proficiency creating complex formulas in Excel

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's or other advanced degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Finance or other related discipline
  • 2 years of experience leading compensation
  • Experience with SuccessFactors
  • Demonstrated aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
