Led by veteran XPO drivers, our programs combine classroom instruction and hands-on experience with professional equipment.

Our CDL Driver School program is designed for individuals without prior experience, or Class B CDL holders who are looking to get their Class A. The program is tuition-free, and you can even earn a paycheck while attending school. We compensate our student drivers for ALL training hours at their current dockworker rate. Instruction is provided in the classroom, in the yard and on the roadway and lasts for seven weeks.
Upon completion of the program, you’ll have earned and acquired a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), an entry-level driver training certificate and employment as an XPO driver.
CDL Finishing Program
Our CDL Finishing program is designed for new drivers with a CDL, or individuals who need additional training. Instruction is provided in the classroom, in the yard and on the roadway and lasts for five weeks.
This program will provide the knowledge and skills to fully prepare you to perform independently behind the wheel and will introduce you to XPO’s work culture firsthand. Upon completion of the program, you’ll have earned all XPO required endorsements and you’ll be proficient in operating a set of doubles.
Hostler Program
Our Hostler program is designed for dockworkers who want to expand their career outside of dock work. This program introduces trainees to our XPO yards while preparing them to operate both a hostler and a tractor. The combination of classroom and on-the-job hostler training will help you gain the knowledge and skills you need to take your career to the next level. This program lasts for four weeks.
