Are you an experienced Transport or Logistics Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting a Transport Contract Manager to take full ownership of the Lakeland contract, leading operational performance, customer relationships, compliance, and commercial delivery.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence, ensure full legal compliance, and lead a high‑performing team—while acting as the named CPC Holder for the contract.

We’re looking to offer a salary up to £46,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day: 

Manage the full contract P&L and deliver on financial targets.

Lead two Transport Shift Managers and oversee daily driver operations.

Ensure efficient route planning and consistent KPI delivery.

Maintain full compliance as the named CPC Holder.

Drive Health & Safety standards across drivers and office colleagues.

Coach, develop, and support your team to deliver operational excellence.

Build strong customer relationships and act as the main point of contact.

What you need to succeed at XPO: 

Strong experience in transport management, logistics, or 3PL contract management.

Valid CPC in Road Transport (essential).

Experience managing P&L with solid commercial and financial understanding.

Strong knowledge of transport legislation, compliance, and H&S requirements.

Proven leadership skills in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.

Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
