Are you an experienced Transport or Logistics Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting a Transport Contract Manager to take full ownership of the Lakeland contract, leading operational performance, customer relationships, compliance, and commercial delivery. 

 

This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence, ensure full legal compliance, and lead a highperforming team—while acting as the named CPC Holder for the contract. 

 

 

Pay, benefits and more: 
 

We’re looking to offer a salary up to £46,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks. 

 

 

What you’ll do on a typical day: 

 

  • Manage the full contract P&L and deliver on financial targets. 

  • Lead two Transport Shift Managers and oversee daily driver operations. 

  • Ensure efficient route planning and consistent KPI delivery. 

  • Maintain full compliance as the named CPC Holder. 

  • Drive Health & Safety standards across drivers and office colleagues. 

  • Coach, develop, and support your team to deliver operational excellence. 

  • Build strong customer relationships and act as the main point of contact. 

 

 

What you need to succeed at XPO: 

 

  • Strong experience in transport management, logistics, or 3PL contract management. 

  • Valid CPC in Road Transport (essential). 

  • Experience managing P&L with solid commercial and financial understanding. 

  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation, compliance, and H&S requirements. 

  • Proven leadership skills in a fastpaced operational environment. 

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills. 

  • Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
