You will support XPO in hiring extraordinary leaders by crafting creative sourcing strategies, identifying extraordinary individuals, conducting market mapping and high-reaching intelligence research, and thinking creatively to reinvent the way we identify top talent. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Partner with executive recruiters to develop contender profiles
  • Conduct in-depth research, utilizing a variety of sources, to identify the best executive talent for open roles at XPO
  • Create and maintain company and candidate target lists
  • Dedicatedly build and maintain talent pipelines to support the company’s future growth
  • Develop research standard methodologies and identify and/or design new search methodologies and tools
  • Lead all phases of research projects including developing the project plan, providing research expertise, and handling outside research vendors as necessary
  • Gather and present bold intelligence and market condition data
  • Follow trades and news sources to watch latest executive and industry moves and companies with premier functional training grounds
  • Execute title and organizational mapping of target companies as assigned

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences or a similar research-related degree
  • 5 to 7 years of professional work experience
  • Demonstrated passion for research - a “love of the hunt”
  • Creative ability using a variety of research tools combined with a systematic, organized approach to executing research projects
  • Strong computer and analytical skills specifically in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with judgment and discretion
  • Experience building a research function from inception

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Executive search, research librarian, or staffing agency experience
  • Enthusiastic, curious, and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to learn, and an ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion, humility, and a can-do attitude
