As the Senior Trainer, Financial Shard Services, you will use your knowledge of training techniques and processes to create and deliver training across the Financial Shared Service organization. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Conducts FSS annual training and development needs assessment (partnership with stakeholders)
- Develops training and development programs and objectives.
- Administers spending against the departmental budget.
- Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Trains managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts in partnership with HR.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
- Develops and maintains organizational communications such as FSS SharePoint site, bulletin boards, and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate, measure, and deliver results.
- Modifies programs as needed.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of Order to Cash experience
- Prior experience presenting or training peers in a classroom and/or virtual training environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Interest in adult learning and management theories
- Experience researching data to evaluate the root cause and make recommendations to prevent errors from recurring
- Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics environment preferred
- Previous experience analyzing data to make a recommendation
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Education, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Development or Psychology
- Experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain
