The salary on offer will be up to £38,000. We also offer 27 days’ holiday (excluding bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.



What you’ll do on a typical day:



  • Day-to-day you will help manage the overall operation, ensuring that compliance and targets are achieved in line with business and customer requirements
  • Actively motivate, manage and maintain relationships with depot drivers, managers and customers
  • Proactively promote a health & safety culture, leading by example to help drive initiatives that will maintain and improve our culture of safety across the site
  • Review sites to understand their culture, incident trends and follow up actions from audits and incidents
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of all applicable quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures
  • You’ll need some flexibility around working hours; Although this role is Monday – Friday



What you need to succeed at XPO:



  • Strong on compliance and ideally you will be an international CPC holder however this is not essential.
  • Previous experience of working within a transport operation managing a large driver workforce
  • Strong management experience managing teams
  • NEBOSH OR IOSH General Certificate (essential) or Diploma (desirable)
  • The drive and ability to work towards a DGSA qualification
