Here at XPO, we’re looking for a Regional Transport Manager for our AkzoNobel contract. You’ll be covering multiple sites within the East / Southeastern area (East Anglia/Kent), having a requirement for travel to all the sites within this region. Working alongside the dedicated XPO AkzoNobel contract team and wider XPO Network teams, ensure we deliver a safe, efficient and sustainable transport operation. With a team of rigid and artic drivers, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day transport operation and customer interaction.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your region, effectively managing your time across the sites to ensure a safe and efficient service
  • As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
  • Manage the relationship between XPO and our customer, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
  • Ensure that all sites and teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures

 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

 

  • Flexibility as you’ll be traveling between the sites in your region depending on the needs of the business
  • Ideally, you’ll already be a Transport Manager or have Transport experience in a 3PL environment, looking for the next step
  • Great People Management and Leadership skills
  • International CPC holder – essential
  • A track record of resolving complex issues and delivering results in a fast paced environment
