Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Night Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Wakefield site, on the 9.30pm to 6am shifts, Monday to Friday

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,500. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure driver are despatched and the plan is managed and executed ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed to meet the contract SLA’s, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
- Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment.
- Support the Site Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the effective use of the vehicles and subcontractors.
- Ensure VOR / Defect management processes are followed and all logs are up to date.
- Arrange breakdown repairs for vehicles or trailers.
- Be the initial site response person in the event of an incident, liaising with the Managers.
- To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- It’s important you have experience of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
- Previous experience working within a complex time critical logistics environment.
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance, driver hours and incident investigations.
- Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling a handover every morning.
- Some transport experience dealing with C+E drivers would be beneficial.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
