For the reinforcement of our site in Welkenraedt - a dangerous goods site with transport department - we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager Transport , accountable for generating new business to align with our dangerous goods transports.


You will also support the operational teams in generating new business with existing clients.

  • Identifying and attracting new customers within the transport business.
  • Target specific customers for tactical space-fill requirements, as and when the operations requires.
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • To work on cross selling opportunities as required within the XPO group.
  • The development and presentation of customer made transport solutions for current clients and prospects.
  • The critical and strategic evaluation of current customers to be able to improve the results.



  • Our Sales Manager Transport must have a proven record of accomplishment in business development gained from a transport or supply chain related environment and the ability to develop and maintain fantastic relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with selling ADR / chemical goods and knowledge of ADR / chemical market is a big plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen are essential, as are excellent presentation and communication skills; to aid this you should be competent in the use of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • You should be comfortable working on your own initiative and possess a positive `can do` approach to work.
  • At all times you will be required to act as an ambassador for the company demonstrating your professionalism and credibility.
