IT Knowledge Manager

The IT Knowledge Manager is responsible for creating, sharing, using, promoting and managing the knowledge and information management infrastructure of the organisation.A key focus of this position is to work with internal teams and third party suppliers to build and maintain an effective, up-to-date knowledge base and ensure that everyone can find the relevant information quickly.  The position will work closely with peers in other regions to establish and adopt best practices in line with XPO IT and business requirements. The position may therefore require ad-hoc travel within and outside Europe.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day :

  • Collaborate with leaders, stakeholders, Service Desk organisation, third party companies throughout IT and the business to achieve consistent process performance
  • Build knowledge content
  • Coordinates knowledge changes
  • Maintain procedures and other type of knowledge articles that are usable by different audiences (Level 0 Self Help to Level 3 Engineering & Architecture)
  • Determine and recommend continuous process improvements priorities to IT management and business leaders based on the outputs of these processes
  • Provide direction that ensures the process is efficient, effective, and compliant, and that results are measurable and sustainable
  • Define goals, objectives, and deliverables to support the Knowledge Management processes, which includes execution of enterprise-level process activities
  • Organise and participates in workshops, trainings and knowledge reviews
  • Share best practises bringing the possibility to leverage knowledge with all parties
  • Develop a comprehensive mapping of KM information sources and knowledge
  • Interact with proposal teams, SMEs, and internal knowledgebase customers
  • Define knowledge base policies and practices, and encourage user adoption
  • Schedule regular reviews to identify areas that need to be updated/improved
  • Review and analyses knowledge base usage, gathers feedback, and evaluates its impact in terms of the organizational benefits
  • Keep a constant commitment on improving the functionality of the Knowledge Management tools, such as increased automation, functionalities, improved integration with other tools, etc
  • Exploresefficient new technologies and incorporates them when applicable

 

What you need to succeed at XPO :

  • At least 2 years experience in the Knowledge Management function in an acquisitive, fast paced global organisation
  • Fluent French and English (Written and spoken)
  • Extensive experience working with remote teams delivering services across multi-site, regional & global environments
  • Experience presenting concise, well thought-out proposals to executives
  • Experience driving significant change in an organization
  • Experience with a major ITSM toolset (preferably ServiceNow)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
  • ITIL V3 Foundation (or above)
