Strategic Account Manager Support Administrator

We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager Support Administrator to assist Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) in generating new business for multi geography accounts across Europe for all lines of business. These strategic accounts have been identified as considerable growth targets where XPO has limited or no presence.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

The role will require in-depth researching of the identified accounts and where required to make the initial contact for the SAM and introduce XPO to the potential account. The role will include the following:

  • Researching target accounts
    • Operational and Decision making structure
    • Identify key contacts
  • Initial contact with target accounts
  • Managing of meeting support material
    • Preparing presentation documentation
  • Meeting debrief & CRM system updating
    • Completing meeting update
    • Customer supply chain information
  • Monitoring & reporting on the SAMs portfolio

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field of study
  • First experience in sales support or telemarketing experience
  • Identify opportunities that match the requirements of the business
  • Produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations.
  • Compose thorough and detailed written technical documentation and reports
  • Present organised and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Utilise variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures
  • Provide timely and professional support to all internal/external customers and vendors
  • Prioritise regular workload, special tasks and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame
  • Team-oriented: consult with team members and management as needed to complete assigned responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong fluency user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Accurately input information into and retrieves from the computer
  • Quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications as needed
  • Thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to position/business unit
