Safety Manager

Working as a Safety Manager at GXO Logistics – Bracknell, or Dublin

Are you a Safety Manager interested in furthering your career with an exciting opportunity within GXO Logistics in Bracknell, or Dublin? The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed instruction and guidance on the corporate safety program as well as all legal requirements within a key account. we are looking for a Safety Manager. (max. 10% travel in Europe).


Main duties & responsibilities of a Safety Manager, Bracknell, or Dublin:

  • Manage the safety and compliance program on consistency with company policies, procedures, and national legal requirements (including coordinating audits)
  • Coordinate the Emergency Response Team and Plan
  • Be responsible or the Dangerous Goods Program for the region
  • Investigate major incidents and common themes to ensure strategies are in place locally and across the region
  • Implement, improve and maintain our safety program across our EMEA sites to ensure that all business activities comply with health & safety standards and local regulations (including reporting of incidents, health and safety and KPI data)
  • Develop and provide regular communications to key stakeholders (Regional Directors, Site and HR Managers) on H&S best practice, policies and procedures and initiatives
  • Promote health & safety awareness across the Region and drive a safety culture


Work environment of a Safety Manager, Bracknell, or Dublin:

You will work in an informal and dynamic environment with motivated colleagues. In this position, you will be reporting to the EMEA Program Director. You will also have frequent contact with colleagues at other sites and staff members (HR; Safety and Security).


Requirements and Skills of a Safety Manager, Bracknell, or Dublin:

  • Experienced in logistics warehousing or datacentre
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management or similar
  • Experience (3 years +) of managing H&S in a multinational and multi-location business environment
  • Strong technical security skills and competencies (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001)
  • Language fluency in English is required for this role
