What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage integration and implementation projects; spearhead resolving any system bugs
  • Provide Tier 2 support for end users on Transportation Management Systems (TMS) applications
  • Support remote users with business applications requests
  • Research, resolve and respond to complex support inquiries in accordance with current software offerings, third-party software and legacy software systems
  • Create documentation and training guides for end users and internal support teams
  • Provide one-on-one and one-to-many user training on common issues; serve as a mentor to other analysts on the team
  • Work with internal QA team on testing system upgrades and enhancements
  • Act as a product liaison for corporate software products, including working with third parties to solve technical issues as needed

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of technical experience in the hands-on support of applications
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel, and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Availability to travel as needed

It’d be great if you also have:

  • 1 year of transportation or logistics experience
  • Self-motivated work style; able to work well with minimal direct supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
  • Solid aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources 
  • Demonstrated time management skills; ability to prioritize regular workload, special tasks and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame
  • Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; ability to produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Ability to compose thorough and detailed technical documentation, procedures manuals, job aids, etc.
