As the Senior Compensation Analyst, you will support the business unit’s compensation function in the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and policies. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Collaborate in the development of the new compensation system including building formal salary ranges, creating new processes for salary increases and administration, determining the approach to variable pay and helping to provide education for leaders and individual contributors
  • Perform financial modeling to ensure programs are viable
  • Participate in regular benchmarking processes and analyze industry data to evaluate roles and determine competitiveness of salaries and total compensation by market; gather insights by researching and networking with other companies to keep abreast of best practices and trends in compensation
  • Develop and update quantitative models, and formulate recommendations and revisions to the compensation structure
  • Design and build compensation metrics, reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions and analyze business outcomes
  • Partner with HR business partners and department leaders to provide appropriate guidance regarding pay decisions, policies and job evaluations; administer the annual process for salary increases including system setup, validating data and distributing reports
  • Create materials to effectively communicate compensation programs, policies and practices to employees and leaders
  • Manage participation in annual compensation surveys for Johanson, Willis Towers Watson, Mercer, MarketPay and CompAnalyst

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • 4 years of experience in business administration, HR, finance or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends; occasional travel

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master’s degree or CCP certification
  • Experience with implementing and working in SuccessFactors and MarketPay
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
  • Ability to utilize a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes or cultures
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and develop, recommend and implement solutions
