The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, upholding, and communicating the best vision possible of the IT architecture that supports business strategies. You will provide support in Solutions, Information, Integration, and Technology Architecture domains. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Formulate the best possible technical direction for XPO Logistics in an iterative fashion by keeping in context existing technologies and business systems, current project needs, future business requirements, and emerging technology trends
  • Select technologies and tools for defining procedures, standards, guidelines, and implement key technical groundwork building blocks
  • Be the technical partner for Oracle teams in the finance domain. Provide contribution to Oracle ERP processes and advise team on right technology fits for Finance Domains
  • Be the chief Architect for providing integration guidance between all XPO systems either on prem or cloud solutions
  • Support end-to-end technologies related to applications and data, including distributed and web applications, mainframe applications, middleware, presentation, integration, data stores, database decision support, coding languages, development environments, and platform choices
  • Create and communicate the relevant technologies, tools, procedures, standards and guidelines, and facilitate adoption by the project teams in a timely manner, subject to technology availability and project deadline constraints
  • Provide support to project teams by assisting with training, mentoring, troubleshooting, and testing of new technologies

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

It’d be great if you also have:

  • 8 years of IT experience with extensive transportation industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of direct experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • 5 years of experience with query tools (PL/SQL, Toad, SQL Plus)
  • 3 years of experience with APEX (or other web-based front-end technologies)
  • 3 years of experience in API design and development (Oracle SOA preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry standard processes (SDLC, CMMI, change management, ITIL), methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Experience in value stream mapping and converting business processes into technical specifications
