As the Senior Manager, Corporate Compensation you will have the responsibility of supporting all corporate functions across the enterprise and will serve as the compensation business partner for all Corporate HR, Recruiting, Finance and Accounting teams. This position will play a key role in developing and producing compensation analyses, managing vendor relationships, leading the annual survey participation process and maintaining and updating the global job architecture technical framework. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage compensation administration for all Corporate functions and provide strategy and thought leadership relating to all compensation matters to all Corporate HR business partners and Corporate and Executive recruiting teams
  • Review all compensation changes across Corporate functions submitted by Corporate HRBPs and provide final recommendations based on market data, internal equity, compensation change history and other relevant datapoints
  • Partner with HR and recruiting teams on new hire offer proposals and provide compensation
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures and provide insights and recommendations to improve compensation programs
  • Manage the monthly Corporate bonus accrual process which includes auditing dataset for accuracy, updating based on changes in employee population and compensation, and submitting final amounts to accounting teams to book entries 
  • Lead the annual survey participation process to ensure timely submission across all compensation teams and regions and manage all survey vendor relationships
  • Lead the review and administration of the Quarterly Collections Incentive Plan which includes reviewing quarterly performance to validate incentive payouts, assessing plan effectiveness and recommending changes to Compensation and Finance leadership and developing spot bonus proposals for ramp up periods
  • Serve as the primary administrator of MarketPay to ensure the global compensation data library is regularly updated with job matches, employee data, new survey data and turn-key reporting is available as needed
  • Manage the Global Compensation SharePoint site and continuously develop and conduct training for HR, Recruiting and People Leaders on compensation administration matters
  • Support the monthly department budget reconciliation process and partner with Corporate FP&A to review and adjust department forecast based on current spend, team attrition and project costs
  • Manage the global job architecture technical framework in SuccessFactors to ensure business rules are defined for HR Technology teams, backend tables are correctly configured, and effective controls are in place to maintain job architecture continuity
  • Conduct annual review of global salary ranges, geo zones and established compensation guidelines and recommend updates based on market data changes, emerging best practices and internal analysis/feedback
  • Develop standardized reports analyzing internal compensation trends, gaps and hot spots by reviewing compa-ratios, bonus targets and total cash compensation across employees to support MOR/QOR data submissions
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and provide support to the global compensation team as needed

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years’ industry experience managing corporate compensation programs
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint with advanced proficiency creating complex formulas in Excel

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's or other advanced degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Finance or other related discipline
  • 7+ years related experience
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with SuccessFactors
  • Demonstrated aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
