What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure efficient, timely, thorough and accurate remittance processing, unapplied funds resolution and invoicing to meet customer service and business needs
  • Collaborate with IT to develop and implement new systems and system enhancements supporting accounts receivable processes
  • Conceive, evaluate, develop, recommend and implement process improvement strategies
  • Manage lockbox bank relationships, ensuring company requirements are met in a cost-effective manner
  • Provide leadership to department management and staff by setting department direction and ensuring effective use of personnel and resources
  • Monitor and contribute to the organization’s success by developing and executing top-level strategies
  • Develop direct reports to increase the bench strength and flexibility of the team; ensure that employees receive appropriate training and resources to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently
  • Handle all management-level responsibilities for staff, including performance reviews, employee development, hiring, coaching and counseling

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Science, or any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 7 years of experience with accounts receivable, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role, or an equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • F500 cash application and OTC experience
  • ERP experience
  • Experience in high volume small dollars cash application, SSC and controls

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with HRC and Oracle
  • Ability to establish and lead a team and business partners through metrics
