As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s day-to-day presence and community engagement activities across social media platforms and third-party properties, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. You’ll serve as the in-house expert on all things social, including best practices, competitive listening and staying current with the newest platforms and tools. You’ll also analyze media performance and provide strategic insights, as well as optimize campaign performance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Execute social media and marketing campaigns
  • Develop, own and manage the master social media calendar
  • Network internally to develop a pipeline of content for sharing XPO stories on social media
  • Follow relevant industry trends for third-party content opportunities to build audience and grow engagement
  • Build campaigns on social platforms leveraging Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube 
  • Collaborate with the marketing, customer service and legal teams to establish brand guidelines for messaging, tone, style and quality
  • Monitor communities and the Voice of the Customer (VOC) on review sites
  • Build a metrics-driven marketing strategy; measure KPIs through regularly performing analyses and distributing reports with actionable insights to stakeholders; develop and deliver reports on campaign effectiveness, page view performance, visitor demographics, page popularity versus the competition and other reports as requested
  • Work with third-party vendors to optimize our social media presence and ensure that we are leveraging relevant media trends
  • Route customer inquiries and complaints to the appropriate teams for resolution
  • Present reports, findings and recommendations to the leadership team

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or related field
  • Experience driving social media programs and campaign development in a structured and professional environment, ideally for B2B
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to create complex formulas in Excel

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience in social media analysis or similar field that analyzes raw data to develop insights and recommendations; experience with social listening tools and Google Analytics 
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Familiarity with the most widely-known and emerging tools, technologies and social applications
  • Strong, active presence on all social platforms; constantly on the lookout for inspiration and trends to maintain brand relevance
