What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Build industry-changing applications for multiple business units across the enterprise
  • Manage a team of developers and development team leads to build ASP.NET, SQL and mobile applications
  • Oversee project timelines, scope and delivery
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders on projects
  • Monitor performance of individual contributors and help manage their professional development
  • Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years development experience and managing development teams globally
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving production application issues using APM tools such as NewRelic, AppDynamics or Stackdriver
  • Experience in delivering solutions in Google Cloud Platform, in various datastore technologies SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch and Couchbase, and with Message Broker technologies such as RabbitMQ, Tibco and Kafka
  • Experience designing and developing applications using the Microsoft and open-source stack of technologies, including C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, AngularJS and ELK

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience implementing software and building processes and tools, including LiquiBase, GitHub, Jira, etc.
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and drive a team of developers
  • Solid time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
