As the Manager, Driver Recruiting, you’ll partner with internal and external resources to recruit contract, full-time drivers, and owner/operators on an ongoing basis. You’ll grow capacity for your assigned fleet and maintain effective relationships with business unit leaders. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage a team to increase load capacity by networking and recruiting contract, full-time drivers and owner/operators through advertising campaigns, word-of-mouth and direct sourcing
  • Manage a team that contacts and process owner/operator applicants and demonstrate the advantages of having a contracted partnership with XPO
  • Ensure your team is maintaining a pipeline of qualified owner/operators in order hit budget expectations
  • Effectively communicate with the Safety department to demonstrate a clear understanding of the contract and full-time driver job requirements (company and DOT requirements) to effectively screen applicants
  • Ensure staff is moving qualified applicants are being moved through application process to on boarding while meeting company standards
  • Ability to work with internal groups and report to leadership to ensure the business in getting an in-depth and actionable data around what is transpiring
  • Ensure staffing has appropriate training and clear understanding of the expectations to deliver their goals

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • 4 or more years of management experience in the transportation industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Ability to work with internal groups and report to leadership
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines
