What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Pricing, Network and Operations to implement improvement strategies in areas such as reload matching, Core Carrier Dedicated Lanes, equipment turn times, load acceptance, bobtail reductions, storage cost reduction, etc.
  • Provide consultative support to the business through analysis of data and recommend efficiencies at a market level that will help the XPO Intermodal Network improve.
  • Lead and present monthly reporting package identifying changes in market conditions, summarizing improvements, challenges, and recapping other market related issues. 
  • Ad hoc analysis and project management as needed.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 4 or more years of experience in intermodal transportation
  • Strong fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business
  • Strong emphasis on internal and external relationship development and overall transportation industry trend knowledge.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources and develops/recommends/implements solutions.
  • Ability to perform economic analysis, calculation of costs and benefits, evaluation of economic tradeoffs and sensitivity analysis.
