As the Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing an Inventory Control program and following documented procedures that meet or exceed industry standards. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Supervise the Inventory Control team members, ensuring company policies are enforced
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, as well as with customer representatives
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all Inventory Control activities including, but not limited to, cycle counts, inbound audits, bin audits and bin transfers
  • Maintain accurate system and physical inventory balances on all parts
  • Manage, track and report daily KPI’s and metrics goals
  • Execute daily inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies and problems
  • Help perform root cause investigations and processes and make or recommend improvements
  • Audit transaction of parts, item numbers, revisions, quantity ordered, quantities received, etc.
  • Develop and write work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with internal and external customers to continuously improve processes

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of inventory control experience, including supervisory or managerial experience in a 3PL or distribution environment
  • Experience in data analysis, statistics and auditing
  • Knowledge of SAP, WMS and/or computer-based ERP
  • Proven research and problem-solving skills
