What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for developing and managing long-range forecasting, capacity/demand planning and monitoring operational performance
  • Leverage data and predictive analysis to clearly articulate problems and influence decisions that support the strategic direction
  • Recommend, develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve the business unit
  • Communicate critical information across the enterprise to build awareness of volume, metrics and significant variations in performance
  • Identify areas of improvement with senior management, using high-level analytics
  • Partner with Operations leaders to help guide them through the labor planning process
  • Support the development, implementation and management of the strategic vision, as well as the execution of the objectives of our Planning and Analytics Organization
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take an active role in leading, mentoring and developing staff in accordance with the business and cultural objectives

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of experience in a supply chain planning environment or related field
  • Experience in the use of forecast management and order management solutions
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts, including experience with statistical and business forecasting

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources; able to develop, recommend and implement solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, project management, problem-solving and analytics
  • Proven leadership and teambuilding skills with the ability to effectively mentor, coach and lead a collaborative and diverse group of professionals
