What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support and assist with the financial reporting for domestic and international subsidiaries, external and internal audit activities, and the ongoing SOX compliance program for the business unit
  • Ensure compliance with all SEC and FASB regulations
  • Assist in researching and concluding on new and proposed account, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB; prepare memorandums regarding XPO’s position and impact on the company
  • Act as liaison with the Corporate Consolidations and Accounting departments
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • Support month-end and year-end closing including all reporting and disclosure

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license
  • 3 years of experience in top-tier public accounting firms or a public company environment
  • Extensive SOX and internal control experience
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Oracle and HFM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to research and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues
  • Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, US GAAP and internal control processes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress, and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
