What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Perform demand planning and forecasting functions for the selected client base
  • Employ contemporary demand planning processes and applications to deliver reliable projections of forward demand requirements 
  • Coordinate demand planning activities with the supply planning, buying and customer operations support teams to ensure clear and consistent communications along the supply chain 
  • Analyze consumption patterns, historical usage and forecast data for all SKUs; recommend adjustments to minimum/maximum values that optimize inventory while meeting service level metrics
  • Review, analyze and approve incoming emergent demand orders; provide direction to buyers on order execution
  • Lead the shortage management process during periods of limited supply

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or closely related field
  • 2 years of business-related experience or equivalent education

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS)
  • SAP experience
  • Strong data management capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
