As the Director of Billing and Audit, you will support XPO Last Mile growth by directing the operations of multiple billing, settlement, audit, analysis and recovery groups. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Drive process improvement with key business partners to maximize invoice collection percentage and minimize DSO, aging invoice variances and exposure
  • Direct and prioritize the Audit & Recovery team and Operations Support team
  • Establish and lead effective processes, procedures and practices to assist in business integration, including clarifying client start-ups, warehouse facilities and technology process and integration
  • Work with leadership on identified metrics for department tracking

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4 years of experience in accounting, invoicing, freight audit and payment, and department leadership
  • Advanced-level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office (Project and PowerPoint)

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Availability to travel occasionally
  • Leadership experience in transportation invoicing and freight payment department
  • Experience with SQL
  • EDI implementation and process experience
  • Freight audit and pay automation experience
  • High degree of comfort and experience with change management
