What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Perform random, in-process auditing and assist with follow up on quality-related problems
  • Inspect products, incoming materials, parts and assemblies; test products for conformance to company standards
  • Ensure corrective action is taken on failed lots
  • Assume responsibility of the audit process and communication to resolve lot non-conformances or other related quality issues
  • Analyze, resolve and communicate problems to supervisor; assist co-workers in solving problems
  • Document audit findings and records in quality database system
  • Interpret and provide training on processes, work instructions and quality bulletins with departments being audited; provide input on changes and/or updates to work instructions/procedures
  • Participate in special projects such as auditing, training other departments and inspecting; provide reports to management on findings
  • Coordinate activities and host meetings for the Safety Committee

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Must be a US Citizen

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Auditing experience
  • Solid problem-solving and organizational skills; capacity to quickly master new concepts, ideas and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to interpret graphs in Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers and co-workers in group or individual situations
  • Demonstrated commitment to process excellence by ensuring proper, efficient and accurate uses of processes
  • HQMS software experience
