Manager, Payroll - GXO Logistics

As the Manager, Payroll, you will support the Payroll Processing and Payroll Tax teams as well as train and mentor Payroll Supervisors, Analysts, and Specialists. Working in partnership with People Services, you will also provide customer service and support to GXO employees and leaders in responding to related requests and questions.


What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Oversee the processing of GXO payroll to ensure all employees are paid timely and accurately
  • Direct the remittance of federal, state, and local payroll taxes and related tax and compliance reporting
  • Maintain written procedures and knowledge-based reference materials
  • Collaborate with HRIT to ensure payroll system updates are made timely and tested for accuracy to comply with ever changing employment legislation
  • Assist and mentor Payroll Supervisors, Analysts, and Specialists with Service Now cases and other daily payroll functions, such as setting up garnishments, working payroll alerts, check mailing, auditing pay records, and other related activities
  • Partner with other HR service departments to support projects and execute new and changing payroll related policies
  • Train new employees

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • CPP Certification
