What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to elicit detailed business requirements using a variety of techniques, including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process workflows, value stream mapping, prototypes, storyboards and use-case scenarios
  • Develop work plans, deliverables, definitions of overall approaches and mobilization efforts for each initiative; determine project cost estimates, work efforts, staffing profiles and timelines
  • Evaluate business requirements, break down high-level information into functional requirements, validate that requirements are based on business needs rather than user preferences, reconcile conflicts and document the functional requirements
  • Collaborate with IT counterparts to define and implement solutions and troubleshoot production issues
  • Provide system administration and production support for financial systems
  • Assist with creating system test scripts and conducting preliminary testing of new/modified system components
  • Create process flows and training documentation; deliver end-user training for finance applications

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in Accounting, CS, MIS or a related field
  • Experience with providing operational support for accounting and financial shared service departments
  • Experience with implementing or supporting one or more of the following Oracle applications in vR12: General Ledger, Receivables, Payables, Fixed Assets, Business Intelligence – Financial Analytics, Hyperion
  • Experience with Oracle system administration functions and Oracle BI/XML Publisher

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime; occasional domestic and international travel
  • Effective interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers and subject matter experts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Dedication to achieving results; positive attitude
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
